At Penn State, Ryan broadcasts athletic events for “The Lion,” a local FM radio station (90.7 FM) at State College. He has broadcasted two Penn State football games, including a road game at Michigan State and an in-state rivalry against Villanova.

In May, 2025, Ryan was elected Vice President of the network, helping organize events and govern seven live shows and over 325 active members.
